Melvin as a member of MSFF, and the FFF/SOC has throughout his fly tying career had numerous patterns published. Melvin has over 30 years fly tying experience and has taught fly tying in numerous states throughout North America. Through Melvin’s generous donations, many of his flies have been donated to FFF, SOC, and MSFF for fundraisers. Melvin’s fly tying experience covers a wide variety of fly fishing areas, including warm water, cold water and salt water fishing. In addition to being an excellent tyer, Melvin also donates his time to teaching fly tying through the MSFF’s participation with Project Healing Waters.
