2010 FFF Southern Council Nomination

Conservationist of the Year

J. Paul Goodwin

With this letter, I would like to nominate J. Paul Goodwin for the Southern Council Conservationist of the Year award for 2010.

Paul has devoted many hours to conservation issues in Missouri and has of late been very involved in the Southern Council as Vice President of Conservation; a role that fits Paul to a tee.

Paul spends some of his weekend time fishing, but much more of that time organizing and participating in water sampling, shore clean up, tree planting, and various other conservation related issues. If not for Paul's efforts, the streams of Missouri and much of the White River Basin would be in much worse shape than it is.

Paul is active in the Southwest Missouri Fly Fishers, Missouri Stream Team, Trout Unlimited, and various other organizations.

For his years of devotion to making our watershed a better place, I hereby nominate Paul Goodwin as Southern Council Federation of Fly Fishers Conservationist of the Year for 2010.

Respectfully submitted by,
Terry Beeson
