2007 FFF Southern Council NominationMan of the YearAllen CriseThe Northeast Arkansas Flyfishers would like to nominate Allen Crise for Man of the Year. After looking over former Man of the Year award winners, we were shocked to see that Allen had never been selected. Allen is the VP of Education for the Southern Council. Whenever a club in the Southern Council requests the Southern Council’s rod and reels or fly tying materials it is Allen who makes sure that you receive them in a timely manner. Having worked with some who have had this responsibility before, I know what an awesome and time consuming task this can be. Allen has been an integral part of the youth portion of the conclave. Through his efforts, the Youth Conclave has been a rousing success. Allen’s work with casting is monumental. His clinics to help casting instructors and those planning on testing to become a casting instructor are legendary. It is impossible to know how many casting instructors owe it all to Allen. Allen is always willing to help in any way possible to help make every council, not just the Southern Council, the best that it can be.
