2008 FFF Southern Council NominationWoman of the YearKathy Post GulleyMSFF nominates for Woman of the Year: Kathy Post Gulley. Kathy moved into an early occupation of the President's job for MSFF from her position as VP. During her time in the President's job she helped recruit a number of new faces into the club, and on the club board. She helped expose these new members to the benefits of the FFF and the SOC. Through her efforts the MSFF Knotheads were formed encouraging a number of new fly tiers, including several who have tied at Sowbug and SOC conclaves. She learned about many of the programs offered thru FFF and SOC in conservation and education and made use of these programs tying in with our own club programs. In her support of the SOC she helped with several committees and programs for the ladies, kids, and council. Her efforts helped in both the physical enjoyment and fund-raising at the dinners and programs during Conclave. Although her time on the board has passed she continually finds ways to work within the club and for the FFF and SOC keeping us abreast of programs available. Tom Burkett |
