An active professional outdoor writer for many years, Chad is a regular contributor to Fly Rod and Reel Magazine. Chad resides in Des Moines Iowa with his wife and three daughters. He is also a columnist for Gun Dog and Shooting Sportsman magazines and a contributing writer to Outdoor Life. Chad’s original fly patterns have been featured on the cover of Fly Tyer. His collection of hunting essays, Voices on the Wind (Countrysport Press, 2002), received the rare Must-Read rating from Today’s Books magazine in the “Environment & Spirituality” category.
