Note: The Development Office at ASUMH held a fund drive to support the Vada Sheid Community Development Center during September. The culmination of the annual fund drive centers around the theme "Raising Support for the Vada Sheid Community Development Center" and will feature a hot air balloon celebration on the ASUMH campus on Saturday. More information available in the lobby of the Fairgrounds Exhibit Building.

Each participant was given the task of identifying mayflies, stoneflies, caddis and midges.

Registration is open from 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. at Ramada Inn.
The morning is off to a great start! Registration is open and ready to provide registrants with their packets of info for the 2009 Conclave. There are lots of fly fishers greeting and talking with each other. It is so nice to see old friends and make new ones too!
Got time on your hands? Drive over to Baxter County Fairgrounds and give Terry Beeson and his crew a hand setting up the tying tables. I am sure your help and aid would be welcomed and appreciated.
Water levels - Larry Babin spoke with Bull Shoals Reservoir staff and obtained the following information on fishable time periods on the tailwater below the Bull Shoals Reservoir to be as follows:
- Thursday, October 1 — 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
- Friday, October 2 — 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
- Saturday, October 3 — 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Be vigilant and remain safe, read the water levels for your own and others' safety!
The Conclave is the premier event of the the Southern Council Federation of Flyfishers, held each year in Mountain Home, Arkansas. It was held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 1st thru October 3rd, 2009. The business meeting will be held Sunday morning the 4th.

Pre-Registration closed September 15, 2009. You can use the pre-registration form to help make a decision on workshops or sessions to plan for. Registration is available at the Conclave on October 1, 2 or 3, 2009.

CHANGES Effective 09.06.09:
"#40 Diagnosing your Cast with Stacy Lynn" is now FULL and further registration for this workshop is closed.
CHANGES Effective 09.03.09:
A) "11. Drift Boat Basics - Ken Richards " revised to show this as a 1pm - 5pm workshop.
B) Added "Security Code" field to be used when mailing your pre-registration information to managing directors for credit card processing. The security code is the digits found in the signuture area on the backside of your credit card. Your orders can not be processed without it.
CHANGES Effective 08.29.09:
C) "54. Spey Casting with Single Hand and Switch Rods — Lee Davison" - Changed to a FREE workshop.
CHANGES Effective 08.05.09:
D) "57. Fly Fishing the Ragged Edge for Mako Sharks - Capt. Conway Bowman" is a fee-based workshop at $35 members and $45 non-members now.
E) "63. Bass Fly-Fishing 101: The Accelerated Course — Capt. Conway Bowman" is a fee-based workshop at $35 member and $45 non-member workshop fees.

I) Also all workshop locations that were indicated as "ASU Campus" are being moved to the Fairgrounds' Casting Pool area.
