The Federation of Fly Fishers Southern Council is pleased to be able to offer in conjunction with Lindenwood University of St. Charles, Missouri a scholarship program.

Two students per academic years will be selected by the Federation of Fly Fishers Southern Council (FFFSOC) will be eligible to attend Lindenwood University's St. Charles, Missouri campus. All qualified FFFSOC member candidates will be given scholarship consideration based on their FFFSOC involvement academic record, merit and financial need.

AMOUNT: $7,000 Scholarship plus $2400 in on campus work for campus residents renewable each year for a total of $37,600 ($28,000 Scholarship and $9,600 Work and Learn Award) provided the student establishes and maintains good academic status ( "C" average) and good social standing.

Criteria:

  1. Candidate must meet University admission requirements and have a minimum 26 ACT and/or 3.50 cumulative high school or college GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  2. Candidate must have demonstrated academic success and leadership potential.
  3. Candidate must apply as and remain a full-time undergraduate resident student continuously enrolled toward a degree of the candidate's choice.
  4. Candidate must be a new undergraduate freshman or transfer student for the 2007-2008 academic year who has not previously attended Lindenwood previously received a financial aid award from Lindenwood and does not have a financial aid award from Lindenwood pending.
  5. Candidates must complete a financial aid application to assess eligibility for federal and/or state grants. Candidate may be eligible for additional instructional aid based on merit or need as approved by the Dean/Director of Admissions. Other than the FFFSOC award and Federal Pell Grant based on need any additional outside grants or scholarships may first replace Lindenwood University funding.
  6. Books, lab fees and fines are not included in this scholarship. This scholarship includes tuition room and board only.
