First Quarter 2007

Ft Worth Fly Fishers Report

First quarter of 2007 has been a busy one. The FWFF and I have been at many shows and doings. In a fast recap:

January
FFF SOC Board meeting Mountain Home AR (1 day) [1300 miles]*
Red River Fly Fishers Tie-on Eisenhower State Park (2 day) 300 people attending. [320]*
Red River FF should have a report on this event. well attended by FFF members too.
Round Rock Fly Fisher lesson in Round Rock (1 day) 6 students [300miles]*
     I did this class I think that all signed up with the FFF on a 6 month membership
Rockport TX Testing CCIs (1 Day) Ken Calloway and I did the testing of two candidates (both failed) [425 miles]

February
McKinney Kids Trout Derby Day Mc Kenney TX (1day) - bunch of Kids several took lesson with us. 2 FFF members giving lessons. [275 miles]*
Fly Fishing Show Arlington TX (2 Days) This show signed up many for the FFF and Dallas and Ft.Worth Fly Fisher. 5 CCI and myself gave casting lesson to about 50 people. [210 miles]*
Cabelas Great Out Doors - (2 Days) Several signed up with special price memberships. I gave lesson to 5 or 6 students Very windy outside. [255 miles]*

March
Fly Fish Texas, Athens TX (1 day) 900 people in attendance. Many FFF member teaching. I had 4 in a Get Ready Class. Casting lesson show about 100 taking lesson from FFF CCIs 7 CCI at the show. [310]*
Sow Bug Round-up Mountain Home AR (3day) Casting lesson 5 students, youth class for 15 high School kids Testing for CCI candidates 2 pass 2 did not. [1400 miles]*
Texas Women Fly Fishers Johnson City, TX (2 day) Casting lesson for ladies Beginners to advanced 35 students. [375]*

* miles driven by me to do the classes/ shows. Total 5,170 miles.

I have also been giving private lesson along the way. We did sign up new members at Arlington and Cabelas.
